Deutz Fahr

The history of the Deutz Tractor can be traced back to Nicolaus August Otto, the founder of Motorenfabrik N.A. Otto & Cie. Established in 1864, it later evolved into Klöckner-Humboldt-Deutz AG (KHD). Soon after, Otto and Eugene Langen collaborated to invent the first four-stroke spark-combustion engine. Initially, these engines powered horse-drawn generators for tasks like threshing and baling hay. The debut of the DEUTZ MTH 222 in 1927 marked the company's entry into mass-produced tractors. Subsequently, the unveiling of the DEUTZ 11 Series in 1936 revolutionized agricultural mechanization, making it accessible to small farms for the first time.
