Baldwin Filters was founded in 1936 by J.A. Baldwin with the mission to improve mobile filtration. The comapny based it's operations in Kearny, Nebraska in 1953 on a former World War II Air base. In early 1981, Baldwin Filters was acquired by J.L. Clark Manufacturing Company and was later known as Clarcor. In 2017, Parker Hannifin bought Clarcor.
